Madaari

A word in the Hindi language used to define "someone who make out a living by making monkeys/bears/or other animals dance". If this word can be used in the modern day daily context of our life, I am sure we will all be able to draw multiple inferences.

Now interestingly as we have all evolved from the apes, it means that we can also dance to music beats, do lunges, jump around performing acrobatic. To top it all, scratching our heads not knowing what else to do to please our masters.

Our masters are very hard to please, they often visit us every year once or probably every 5th year commanding us to click on some button that they please. Oh! don't take me wrong as am not any extraordinary Bandar complaining against my masters and trying to bring a change.

I am happy that my masters love me and shower me with gifts once in a blue moon. A couple of years ago I saw a road that had no potholes and it amazed me. I couldn't believe that my Madaari spoilt my rocking road with a paved tarmac. Well then it didn't turn out to be so bad as the same road turned into a swimming pool as soon as the monsoon arrived and we were allowed to take a dip in the holy water. I was happy again to know that the money I had earned with all my hard work was put to such good use and to my benefit.

However, I have some other Madaari's in my life too and they are equally competent and have immense potential. Some of them can even be more generous than my 1st Madaari. Most of them are found at the place where I go daily to show my skills and acrobatics (kalabaziyan, kyunki hum bhi baazigar hai).

The only regret is that I do not have any friends there, somehow everyone acts friendly but loves bitching(I do not know what's the monkey term for this) and back biting. They love pulling each other down and always in a frenzy to showcase their talent to the Madaari there. I somehow feel that even though the Madaari is a nincompoop, he is very respected because he pays us well for the same repeated act that we perform everyday. Last year he even gave us all a thing called 'Bonus', which sounded like a garden full of bananas but turned out to be a bag full of peanuts.

It was very disappointing! Chirkut Saala!

Anyway moving on and to be continued.......

To all the new traders of the stock market

Hello new Trader/Investor,

I hope you have learnt the nuances of trading now.

Last month a report published in an Indian newspaper showed that around 1.2 million new traders joined the market and there were many more across the globe.

You are a part of the new growing tribe of retail investors who can change the fate of even Bankrupt companies.  It must feel great to make money at a click of the button and in the process change the fate of the companies.

Easier said than done however it won't work like this forever and there will be a time when you will have to start choosing between the real value, intrinsic value, spread and margin etc.

The reason most of you are making what you are making is coz even a 2% incremental change in the market can drive your stocks and bonds to a higher return.  Most importantly it's time to decide whether you want to be a trader or an investor or choose the hybrid model.

Something that has been bought at a 15 year low will obviously break all thresholds once it starts gaining traction and reaching back to it's pre-covid market rates.

I am happy that you have chosen the right stocks to start you journey in this sector and I am happy that you have realised the potential of the market. It's time that the retail investors need to return back to the stock market and start playing a dominant role. The time has arrived when retail investors will have and hold more power to change the course of the markets.

Lastly, i would advice the investors to be patient and not change their positions on a daily basis whereas the new traders immediately need to learn the meaning and implications of a stop loss.

In any case I would be happy to help with my knowledge and experience of over 12 years being a learner and explorer of wealth making.

To all the wealth makers...
Cheers.
